MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to ban fixed glass exteriors in buildings. A senior official said, "We are finalizing guidelines with the help of experts.''
The eight-storey commercial building that caught fire in Andheri on Thursday evening had a glass exterior which helped the smoke stay inside the structure and made it difficult for firefighters to douse the flames.
