TACOMA — On September 21, 2013, Museum of Glass will host its largest event of the year – the annual Red Hot auction. Following the evening’s silent auctions, dinner and the live auction, the party will continue in the Museum’s Hot Shop with live glassblowing by world renowned artist Preston Singletary.
Singletary, a native of the Northwest region, completed his Visiting Artist Residency at the Museum of Glass in 2008 and exhibited a major mid-career survey of his work, entitled Preston Singletary: Echoes, Fire, and Shadows, the following year. Singletary’s artwork is now displayed in collections at museums such as The British Museum, The Seattle Art Museum, the Smithsonian Institution and the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
