The Denver Botanic Gardens announced its major exhibition for the summer of 2014: A show by superstar glass artist Dale Chihuly.
The exhibit will feature an array of works by Chihuly, from sculptures that float on water to large, freestanding, vertical pieces. Typically, the Gardens arranges its exhibits throughout the paths, plants and ponds that make up its 24-acre open space on York Street.
The show runs from June 13 to Nov. 30, during the gardens’ busy season.
Chihuly, 72, is among the best-known American artists working today and his glass creations are in more than 200 museum collections around the world. The last major exhibit of his work locally was at the Foothills Art Center in Golden in 2012.
