Vitro completed in 2008 the opening of the Architectural Design Center (CDA), located in Mexico City, for the purpose of providing integral technical support and state of the art solutions to clients, engineers, designers and all professionals who focus on designing building facades or interior spaces.

“It occupies an area of 145 square meters in which we have concentrated a wide range of products and applications plus we offer specialized consulting support to make our clients’ architectural projects the most advanced and competitive in the marketplace”, affirms Alejandro Gebara, Marketing Manager for Float Glass.

He adds that his goal is to share Vitro’s vast knowledge and understanding in the use and applications of architectural glass by supporting the professional development of clients and distributors.

“In the CDA we propose avant-garde solutions in which value added products are used such as: laminated glass or tempered glass, the Duovent® windows, among others” comments Javier de la Garza, Technical Adviser for Vitro.

The principal services offered by CDA are:

1. 3D design

2. Visualization (virtual projections of architectural projects).

3. Development of the designs (architectural visualizations of interiors and exteriors).

4. Animation – Rendering.

5. Stress and load analysis as well as energy simulation.

6. Scale models (Rapid Prototypes).

7. Estimates (a service that determines the principal headings for the project through calculations and estimates of the different volumes that make up the Project).

One of the most notable aspects of the CDA is that it specializes in projects that require a high degree of design and feasibility skills and know-how, thus placing it among the world’s most advanced architectural design centers.
