Centrosolar to End PV Glass Operations

Photovoltaics manufacturer and project developer Centrosolar plans to dispose of its solar glass operations due to falling market prices and sales volumes, according to a PVTech report. In February, the company said it would start a restructuring plan for its glass business, aimed at halting declining revenues. The main determining factor for Centrosolar's final decision to end glass operations was the fall in revenue, down €2.2 million in the previous year to negative €12.6 million ($16 million) in 2012, according to the report.
