Cardinal Solar Technologies, a division of Cardinal Glass Industries, laid off 57 workers last week due to a sudden drop in orders from its primary customer, according to a Feb. 17 article in the Wisconsin State Journal. The facility produces tempered glass for use in solar panels, and remains in operation on a smaller scale. Cardinal ST President Bob Bond said in the article that the layoff is likely temporary.
