Valerie Block elected chair of GANA Laminating Division

The Glass Association of North America announced Feb. 9 that Valerie Block of DuPont Glass Laminating Solutions has been elected chair of the GANA Laminating Division. Block will assume her new role at GANA’s upcoming Annual Conference, Feb. 20-24, in Sarasota, Fla.

“I am honored to serve as the GANA Laminating Division Chair,” Block said, in a release. “I look forward to working with current and new division members on marketing and technical issues, and welcome suggestions for future activities that will expand and strengthen our industry.”

A longtime member of the glass and glazing industry, Block has worked for DuPont as senior marketing specialist since 2003. Her past experience includes serving as technical director for the former Primary Glass Manufacturers Council and chair of the ANSI Z97.1 Accredited Standards Committee. She has also served on numerous ISO and ASTM committees. Block succeeds Michael Burriss of Cytec Industries, Inc.
