Western Window Systems was recently showcased as a “Manufacturing Marvel” on the Fox Business Channel. The Arizona manufacturer was highlighted in a segment that aired on the cable news network in December.
Produced by the Marvel Production Group, the Manufacturing Marvel segments appear on “Freedom Watch,” a talk show hosted by Judge Andrew Napolitano. The segments are designed to promote American manufacturing, American-made products and American manufacturing jobs, the producers say.
Western Window Systems had been recommended to the producers by several companies, says Jason Funk, president of the Phoenix-based company. The organization had been looking for Southwest companies that had grown despite the weak construction market.
"It’s exciting anytime your company receives national recognition," Funk says. "Customers that had never heard of Western before have contacted us for pricing after having seen some of the custom door systems featured in the segment. Others have called about employment or dealer opportunities, all of which is great for a growing company like us. One of the best aspects has been to hear some of our guys in manufacturing talking about how proud they were to show the video to their family. It was a great chance for our staff to show those at home a little piece of what they do."
