RavenBrickannounced it hascompleted the installation of its smart window technology, RavenWindow, at the US Department of Energy's Research Support Facility on the campus of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, with the support of Trulite Glass& Aluminum Solutions.

On a sunny winter day, when solar heat is desired, RavenWindow's self-tinting, heat-activated filter allows warmth into a building. Hot sunny days are made more comfortable as the tinted state of the RavenWindow keeps out uncomfortable, heat-carrying ultraviolet rays, according to a release. The RavenWindow filter is applied during the window fabricating process, and Trulite donated all of the services and materials for the fabrication of the windows on this project.

"Trulite really stepped up to the plate and worked with us on every detail of the window fabrication for this project," said Alex Burney, RavenBrick CEO, in the release. "Their support and generous donation really made the difference to us."

"We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with RavenBrick on this historical project. Smart window technology and the benefits they bring to the building envelope continue to heighten consciousness as more people build for the future." stated Ben Thomas, director of strategic marketing for Trulite, in the release.
