Serious Materials, Sunnyvale, Calif.,launched a glazing retrofit system, called iWindow,that enables rapid return-on-investment for the commercial energy-efficiency retrofit market.
iWindow increases energy efficiency and comfortwithout replacing the existing glass or changing the exterior appearance of the buildingat a fraction of the cost of a full window replacement. Installed on the inside of the existing glass, an iWindow panel can be put in place in as little as 20 minutes, minimizing disruption to building occupants or tenants, according to a March 3 Solar Novus report.
