Kalakos to retire from Kawneer's Traco division

Officials of Alcoa's Kawneer and Traco businesses announced Feb. 17 that John Kalakos, manager, Commercial Operations, for Traco has elected to retire from the company. He has been with Traco for 42 years and will conclude his tenure on Feb. 28, according to a release.

Kalakos joined Traco as a sales representative in 1969 when the company was a seven-person operation. During his time with the company, Kalakos held several key positions including national sales manager, executive vice president and vice president/general manager of the Commercial Group.

"As John embarks on a new chapter in his life, we want to thank him for his numerous contributions to the company and the imprint he leaves behind," said Bob Leyland, director of sales for Norcross, Ga.-based Kawneer North America, of which Traco is a division. "John has done a wonderful job helping to grow the Traco business and assist us as we take it to an exciting new level. We wish John and his family many years of happiness."
