Bystronic glass installs first TPS insulating glass line in China

At the beginning of December 2010, the Bystronic glassTechnology Center of Bystronic Lenhardt GmbH commissioned the first TPS insulating glass line in China, according to a Feb. 15 release. The privately run Dalian Huaying Glassware Products Co. Ltd. is the first Chinese producer of insulating glass units using TPS thermoplastic spacer material.

The delivery and installation of the line took place in November 2010, and the commissioning of the TPS applicator, as well as on-site training of staff members, took place at the beginning of December 2010.

TPS automates and streamlines the production of insulating glass, and improves the product characteristics of insulating glass units by heat-insulated, elastic edge bond, according to the release.
