Second Glasspex India takes place in Mumbai

Glasspex India, the 2nd International Exhibition for Glass Production, Processing and Products, took place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Hall 6, Mumbai, Jan. 12-14. Show organizers Messe Düsseldorf and its Indian subsidiary confirmed 176 exhibitors before the show opened. Last year, 137 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors attended the firstGlasspex India in New Delhi.

Thefirst Solar Industry Summit India took place Jan. 13 as part of Glasspex India. Solarpraxis AG, Germany,and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH/Messe Düsseldorf India Pvt. Ltd. hosted the conference that was expected toattract 200 delegates from across the world. The main focus of the conference was the development, financing and realization of production facilities in India. The latest state-of-the-art production technologies, the international solar energy market and the latest quality assurance standards also were topics. In addition to investors and companies wishing to invest in solar power production technology in India, the key target groups of the conference included production facility planners and manufacturers of solar modules, solar cells, production components and accessories.

Associations such as the AIGMF (All India Glass Manufacturers' Federation) and the VDMA(Verband deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau) supported Glasspex India. Glass Performance Days India preceded Glasspex India, Jan. 11-12, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. GPD India focused on solar technology, as well as glass architecture and flat glass.
