Sapa Profiles acquires Arch Extrusion's Miami facility

Sapa Profiles North America, Rosemont, Ill.,completed an asset purchase agreement with Arch Extrusion to acquire its extrusion facility in Miami, according to a Jan.5 release. The facility includes two modern extrusion presses and an anodizing line for clear and electrolytic colored finishes that meet stringent architectural standards.

This arrangement will allow Arch Aluminum & Glass, headquartered in Tamarac, Fla., to focus on its core business of glass and metal fabrication throughout the United Statesand Canada, with its 24 manufacturing and distribution locations, according to the release. Sapa will be able to offer increased extrusion capacity to customers in Florida, as well as increased anodizing capability throughout the Southeastern U.S.

“This agreement gives us a greater presence throughout the Southeast," said Patrick Lawlor, business area president, Sapa Profiles North America, in the release. "The acquisition will help us to provide the market more responsive service and shorter lead times. We will be able to offer our customers a range of extrusion products that is truly unique. That reflects our strategy of providing solutions to the marketplace, backed by our technical support and financial strength.”

“At Arch, our customers like the idea of one stop for all their metal and glazing system needs, and our new partnership with Sapa will allow us to be an even more reliable supplier.” said Jeff Leone, CEO, Arch, in the release.
