The producer price index for finished goods increased 0.6 percentin October, not seasonally adjusted (0.4 percent, seasonally adjusted), and 4.3 percentsince October 2009, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Tuesday [Nov. 16]. The PPI for inputs to construction industries, a weighted average of all materials used in construction plus items consumed by contractors (such as diesel fuel), rose 0.6 percentfor the month, not seasonally adjusted, and 4.8 percentover 12-months, according to a Nov. 17 Data DIGest report.
