Officials of Dow Corning Corp., Midland, Mich., announced that Saulo Rozendo has been named global green building marketer for the Dow Corning Construction Industry. He will be responsible for identifying and partnering with global building leaders to implement green building solutions from Dow Corning to achieve innovative building designs and increased energy efficiencies.
“As building standards require construction professionals to seek more sustainable design solutions, Saulo’s expertise in green building will be key in providing our customers with the expertise and insights about how Dow Corning’s customized solutions can best meet their challenges,” said Jean Paul Hautekeer, global marketing manager, Construction Industry, Dow Corning, in a release.
Rozendo brings a host of green building experience to Dow Corning, according to the release. He has led more than 50 green building projects within South America and Southeast Asia, including the first LEED Platinum project in Brazil. He also has trained building professionals to become LEED accredited professionals and hasISO 14000 environmental management expertise.
“It’s an exciting time for the construction industry, and I look forward to integrating our innovative products, services, and global expertise to best equip industry professionals with the right set of building solutions,” Rozendo said in the release.
Rozendo received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
