Naugatuck glass company help put off

Two months after she vowed to help a local glass manufacturing company form a partnership with the University of Connecticut and create about 80 jobs, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro has withdrawn her application for federal funding to help the company, according to an April 22 Republican American report.DeLauro, D-3rd District, withdrew her $2 million earmark request after the Washington, D.C.-based Roll Call newspaper inquired about whether the earmark would primarily benefit the Naugatuck-based Flabeg Solar U.S. Corp., the former Naugatuck Glass Co., according to the Roll Call Web site.
