Traco officials to present at GlassBuild America

Mike Manteghi and John Burmer of Traco, Cranberry Township, Pa., will present at GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo,Atlanta, Sept. 30-Oct.2, according to a Sept. 27 release.

Manteghi, director of research and development, will be part of a panel discussion, 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Oct. 1, at the Energy Efficiency Town Hall Forum entitled “Can Public Policy Keep Pace with the Technology?” He will address several topics including developments that have enhanced the energy efficiency for commercial aluminum products and the significant impact these products have on the overall building envelope and software packages that are available to calculate estimated energy savings. He also will speak in regards to future innovations, in particular, commercial aluminum framing systems and the upcomingNational Fenestration Rating CouncilComponent Modeling Approach energy rating for commercial buildings. Manteghi is actively working with the U.S. Department of Energy on the development of a high-performance, energy-efficient framing system for the commercial market.

Burmer,senior sales consultant,will be part of a breakout session, 9 a.m.–10 a.m. Oct. 1, and present, “Aluminum Advantage.” The presentation will demonstrate the versatility of aluminum in fenestration applications, share informative facts particularly its green characteristics, convey the strength of aluminum in the selection of fenestration products and clearly show why aluminum offers design and performance advantages.

Burmer has 27 years of experience in the fenestration industry as an applications engineer and sales consultant. He specializes in architectural promotion and consulting services throughout the Southeastern U.S.
