A fiberglass manufacturer from the Eastern European nation of Latvia plans to open a manufacturing plant in Dublin, in central Georgia, company and state officials announced Monday.
Valmiera Glass will create 150 jobs and invest $20 million at its new plant and U.S. headquarters over the next five years, according to a news release. The company makes products for many industries, including the automotive, aerospace and oil and gas sectors.
The 80,000-square-foot plant will be “highly automated,” according to the release, and the company will receive workforce training assistance from the state’s QuickStart program. The new facility will be built in an industrial park in Dublin, about 135 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.
