Gubernatorial candidate Kathie Glass seeks supporters in ETX

Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Kathie Glass is in East Texas trying to enlist supporters.

Her staff and local volunteers gathered in Tyler on Saturday to discuss campaign strategy. The event kicked off Glass's "Texas 254 Tour," in which Glass plans to visit all 254 counties in Texas before Election Day.

“Rural Texans and Texans in small and medium sized cities and towns... We have interests too, but they're not being heard. They're not being listened to, whether it's eminent domain abuses or theft of our water. These are things that affect us that the urban areas don't really get. We have to stop electing all of our state-wide office holders out of four or five major counties,” said Glass.

So far, Glass and her staff have visited 160 counties. Attorney General Greg Abbott, however, continues to be the heavy favorite in the race for Texas governor.
