India to open new Glass and Ceramics Industrial Zone

The Indian Ceramic and Glass industry shall be pushed into new levels with newly created industry zone in Rajasthan. Two zones, one for glass and ceramica in Ghiloth (near Neemrana) and a ceramic cluster in Bhilware have been developed.


Neemrana zone provides 750 acres of specially developed zone and closeness to rich mineral reserves such as clay, silica sand, feldspar, gypsum, limestone, wollastonite and dolomite.


Companies receive a huge support by government e.g. investment subsidy of 50% of VAT and CST and employent generation subsidy of up to 10%, companies with higher investment receive even higher subsidies. Further benefits are exemptions from payment of electric duty or exemption from payment of land tax (50% for 7 years), exemption from stamp duties etc.
