Revitalizing Franklinton is on Mayor Michael B. Coleman’s must-do list before his final term ends, and Glass Axis is doing its part.
The nonprofit center provides workspace and tools for artists, as well as class and gallery space.
It is celebrating its grand reopening after moving to 610 W. Town St. from Grandview Heights. On Friday and yesterday, Glass Axis showed off its new 12,700-square-foot art center by offering demonstrations and a chance for people to try making their own glass artworks
Glass artist Rose McVey-Succi, front, demonstrates how to make a glass flower at the new Glass Axis space in Franklinton. Artists and groups such as the Franklinton Arts District are helping to drive the neighborhood’s rebirth.
