PGW to Suspend Premium Points Program

Pittsburgh Glass Works (formerly PPG Auto Glass) will be suspending its Premium Points Program, effective April 12, according to an announcement by Lee St. John, vice president of distribution and customer service for the company.

Under the Premium Points program, the company currently awards 200 points for every $75 worth of accumulated products purchased via e-ordering. The points can then be redeemed toward rewards from the company's "Premium Points" catalog.

The company will stop awarding points as of April 2, and customers must redeem all points by May 2.

Dick Heilman, vice president of marketing and research and development, says the suspension of the program is part of the company's effort to maintain the lowest possible prices amid rising material costs.

"In order to offset the increasing costs of sundries and maintain the lowest possible prices to our customers we regrettably had to suspend the Premium Points program," he says. "All participants were given time to cash in their accrued points."
