Trends of soda ash market in South China

Soda ash market in South China has shown mixed trends. In Guangdong, nearly half of the sources of soda ash are for exporting, which increases the EXW price of light alkali to 1,200-1,270 yuan/ton and heavy alkali to 1,400 yuan/ton.

However, the price of light alkali from Huazhong is only 1,150-1,200 yuan/ton; Guangxi is short in the output of soda ash and, with the impact from low-price alkali in Yunnan, local manufacturers get few sources for sale; in Fujian, soda ash price keeps stable, with the prevailing EXW price of light alkali at 1,150 yuan/ton and heavy alkali at 1,200-1,250 yuan/ton.
