Glass Performance Days (GPD), the bi-annual event uniting the international glass industry, will take place on 12th – 15th June 2009 in Tampere, Finland.
The event, which is organised by glass technology group Glaston, combines a four-day conference with a simultaneous exhibition – Glass Expo – as well as a series of practical workshops.
This year, a highlight of the conference programme is the discussion of solar and glass technology and its market and applications, with contributions from Fives Stein, Bystronic Glass and Guardian Industries.
Other topics to be explored throughout the four-day programme include toughening/pre-processing, large area coating processes and laminated glass.
The last GPD in 2007 attracted more than 1000 participants from 60 countries worldwide, which comprised glass processing industry representatives, equipment suppliers as well as glass manufacturers. It is anticipated that attendance this year will exceed this figure.
