Butylver comes in a new color for architects and designers

New addition to the range of Fenzi sealants: Butylver, now also in gray, addresses the technical and environmental needs of industry professionals and brings a refined aesthetic.

Research, quality products, a focus on customers and environmental protection, are what makes the Fenzi Group a company that can cater to every market need. The innovative color developed for Butylver, a one-component, solvent-free sealant used for insulating the inside (first barrier) of IG units, goes another step in this direction. This sealant by the Fenzi Group is characterized by extremely low water vapor and gas permeability, exceptional weatherability and excellent adhesive properties on glass, aluminum and stainless steel, and is now also available in gray. The availability of different colors therefore makes the special sealant ideal for the aesthetic needs of architects and designers.

This is another step forward in the use of Butylver on curtainwalls. In this application, the edge seal is visible and the gray color matches with the structural silicones used for the secondary seal which makes for a harmonious visual effect.

When the edge seal is covered by the frame, as in conventional IG units, the function of the new Butylver color is completely different. The gray-colored Butyl highlights the primary seal and makes it stand out from the secondary seal, making it easier to control the quality and the sealing size.

The Group’s IG sealants division accounts for the largest production volume with its polysulphide, butyl, hot melt and polyurethane sealants. The goal is to develop IG units with a perfect seal that can stand the test of time. Fenzi also offers aluminum, steel and stainless steel spacers to IG manufacturers, which are produced in its Alu-Pro and Rolltech facilities and are sold worldwide by the Glass Alliance network. Molecular sieves for moisture absorption complete the range.
