Artists from around the world are expected to visit Stourbridge over the next couple of weeks to celebrate the town's rich glass-making heritage.
The International Festival of Glass will feature a mixture of exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops that run until 11 September.
The festival will also have live music, entertainment and activities.
Stourbridge has provided the world with the finest crystal and glassware for more than 400 years.
The highlight of the festival is the prestigious British Glass Biennale (27 August-11 September) at the Ruskin Glass Centre, Amblecote, which will showcase 115 major works by artists based in the UK - including several from the West Midlands.
Events are being held at venues across Stourbridge's Glass Quarter and also include artist talks, a glass furniture exhibition and a vintage family fun day.
