Vitrum: What’s New for 2025?

Post Time:Aug 13,2025Classify:Industry NewsView:1296

Vitrum is doubling down on communication in 2025. Officials say the international trade show will embrace a new concept encompassing discussion and development. The Vitrum trade show for machinery, equipment, systems, and glass products occurs every two years in Milan, Italy. The 2025 edition, set for September 16-19, will be held at Fiera Milano-Rho.

According to a press release, this year’s event aims to showcase glass manufacturing and foster connections among technology producers, industrial enterprises, processing companies and institutions. It will serve as a meeting point for the entire supply chain to build new opportunities, tackle the challenges of ecological transition and promote innovation.

“Vitrum’s new concept was born from listening to the industry and from the desire to offer a practical tool to support the supply chain,” says Lucia Masutti, Vitrum’s general director. “The participation of major players such as Saint-Gobain, Pilkington, Glass Group, the Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro and the collaboration with Assovetro confirm that we are moving in the right direction: toward an event capable of showcasing glass manufacturing and promoting innovation, sustainability and industrial growth.”

The companies’ participation will include introductory courses on flat glass technologies that seek to expand technical and industrial knowledge, as well as a debate on decarbonization. The debate occurs on September 17 in the conference room (hall nine). The discussion will be divided into three sessions:

  • New generation ovens: electrification, hybridization, thermal imaging and syngas from biomass;

  • Innovation and environmental sustainability: case studies, materials and packaging; and

  • Low-impact flat glass: new solutions for more efficient products and processes.

Speakers will include Glass Futures, FEVE, NSG-Pilkington, Schneider Electric, Assovetro, RHI Magnesita and Stara Glass, among others.
