Noted Investigative Reporter Kurtis Ming to Speak During Auto Glass Week? 2012

Eight-time Emmy award winning investigative reporter Kurtis Ming has been added to the Auto Glass Week program later this month in Louisville, Ky.

Ming will speak during the breakout session, titled Role of the Media in Promoting Safety. This session will be held Saturday, September 22, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Louisville Marriott Downtown and is open to all.

"Ming's report last spring about improper windshield installations brought nationwide attention to this serious issue. It is the mission of the Auto Glass Safety Council to promote safe installations to consumers and it is great to see the consumer press doing their part, too," says Debra Levy, president of the Auto Glass Safety Council.

Ming is an investigative reporter for CBS13 in Sacramento, Calif. He heads up the "Call Kurtis" consumer advocacy program, which has helped get back millions of dollars and resolve thousands of disputes since 2006. Last spring, he conducted an expose on improper windshield installations that garnished nationwide attention.

Auto Glass Week 2012 will be held September 20-22 in Louisville, Ky. at the Louisville Marriott.

Auto Glass Week will bring together all of the major auto glass groups, including the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (formerly the AGRSS Council® Inc.), Independent Glass Association (IGA), National Glass Association (NGA), and the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), along with AGRR™ magazine's Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics and Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics. The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ also will be held concurrently. The event is managed by AGRR magazine.
