Double Skin Glass Buildings

The Castilla y Leon Office is a striking architectural project that may be minimalistic but is far from simplistic. It features a double skin glass facade that gives the structure an overall ethereal presence. It is almost as though the dwellers in this building are working in one big rectangular bubble.

Designed by Spanish architect Alberto Campo Baeza, the Castilla y Leon Office is located in the city of Zamora, Spain. Although a building made entirely out of glass may seem very exposed, it is surrounded by a sandstone enclosure that provides as much privacy as a standard structure. By almost reversing the typical, the Castilla y Leon Office allows people to enjoy an airy space full of natural light while also feeling safe and secure.
