Belron US, Columbus, Ohio, promoted three: Dino Lanno, Pete Pearson and Mark Placenti, according to a company release Aug. 18.
Lanno and Pearson both joined the company in 1989; Placenti in 2005.Lanno, a graduate of the University of Michigan with a master's from Ohio University, is currently a member of several industry leading vehicle glass organizations and is active in developing vehicle glass standards for the industry. He continues to be the key face of Safelite to its strategic suppliers, building relationships for more than 19 years.Pearson, a graduate of the University of Utah, joined Safelite as a result of the company’s acquisition of AFG Glass where he served as a regional manager. Prior to that, he was with A-1 Quality Glass as general manager. He has 24 years in the vehicle glass industry, 15 as part of the Safelite Solutions strategic, fleet and commercial account sales teams and five with an independent glass company.Placenti, a graduate of the Ohio State University, spent time before joining Safelite in both corporate and advertising agency environments. As a key member of the Circle K management team which led the company out of bankruptcy, he developed a marketing/advertising program that netted an incremental $15 million gross profit dollars over a three year period. His advertising agency client experience includes Domino’s Pizza, Scotts Professional Products, International Paper, Checker, Schuck’s & Kragen Auto Parts, Worthington Industries and many others.
