The Architecture Billings Indexcontinuesto strengthen at a steady pace, posting a February score of 54.9, up slightly from 54.2 in January, according to the American Institute of Architects. The new projects inquiry index was 64.8, the highest it's been since January 2007, according to AIA.
The Northeast saw the most growth in February, with a score of 56.7; followed by the Midwest at 54.7; the West at 54.7; and the South at 52.7. Multi-family residential posted a score of 60.9; mixed practice, 56.9; commercial/industrial, 53.3; and institutional, 50.7.
