Long-time glass industry member Patricia “Pat” Petrucci passes away

Long-time glass industry member Patricia “Pat” Petrucci passed away at her home, April 1, 2012. She began her glass career as a customer service representative at Stewart Carey, Inc., in 1966, and worked her way up to automotive products manager for retail and wholesale operations. In 1986, she joined Glass Depot, and shortly thereafter, became involved in the newly founded Indiana Glass Association. After the Glass Depot was purchased by PPG, Pat went on to work for a number of local glass companies until finding her niche at King Distributors, where she worked until retiring for the last time in 2011.

Pat held the longest record of continuous service in the IGA’s 26-year history. A 46-year veteran of the glass industry, Pat’s knowledge and experience in the field was invaluable to those companies for which she worked and the Indiana Glass Association, say IGA officials. She served the association as president twice (1996 and 2008) and was the first recipient of the 1998 JoAn Hall A Cut Above Individual Award. She was also named as the outstanding board member of the year for 2006. In addition, Petrucci served as IGA secretary/treasurer for more than a decade.

Pat is survived by her son Michael Petrucci, daughter Sylvia Lewis (Jim), grand-daughter Chloe Petrucci, and brother Michael Greig (Margaret).
