Preference North America forms Building Envelope Software Technologies Division

Preference North America Inc., Toronto, announced the formation of the Building Envelope Software Technologies Division. The new division will focus on providing building envelope software tools to the glazing industry for estimating, fabrication and management of curtain-wall and storefront projects, according to a May 2 release.

Preference North America Inc. and Orgadata AG of Germany also announced that the new BEST division will assume the operations of Orgadata USA and thus become the exclusive partner and distributor of Orgadata's software.

Previously, Orgadata and Preference North America worked separately with storefront and curtain-wall manufacturers to deliver manufacturer-specific (CLOSED) glazier systems. The BEST division will continue to work with manufacturers to provide CLOSED systems and will also provide OPEN systems for multiple manufacturers to the general glazing market based on the Orgadata architecture, according to the release.
