The Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Building, housed by five federal agencies in Denver, is undergoing a $34 million 'green' makeover. The makeover is designed to make the building more energy-efficient and eco-friendly. The new building exterior will be composed of a curtain wall system of aluminum-and-glass to help reduce or lessen the building’s energy usage by 30 percent. It will also protect the building against blast and will help to improve indoor light quality, according to a March 3 WIDN report.
